Introduction of World Special PVC resins

PVC resin is one of the five general used resins in synthetic material. It is with good physical and mechanic properties. Its production capacity comes the second place, rank only second to polyethylene. PVC resin can be used to produce construction materials, packaging materials, electronic materials and daily used products. It has wide application in industrial, agricultural, construction, transportation and many other fields. Currently, the consumption of PVC is mainly hard products, about 59.83% of the total consumption. Soft products are about 32.88% and others 7.29%. PVC resin usually contains two types: general type and special type. The general one is about 90% of the total and the special one only takes up 10%.

There is no specific definition on special PVC resin. One popular saying abroad is that all resins that can provide special usage in comparison with normal resins can be called special PVC resin. The generally used special resins abroad mainly include: blending resin, special emulsion resin, powder processing resin, special suspension resin, ultra high molecular weight resin, super absorption resin, matting resin, copolymer resin, polyethylene and vinyl acetate copolymer resin, solution polymerization resin and so on.

Among those specially used PVC resin, polyethylene and vinyl acetate copolymer resin is one very popular in recent years. It includes Vinyl Copolymer Resin, Vinyl Terpolymer Resin With Carboxyl Function Group (the so called UMCH) and Vinyl Terpolymer Resin With Hydroxyl Function Group (the so called UMOH). They are widely used for the production of ink, paint and Gold And Silver Cardboard.
