1. Coating Preservation Method
Liquid paraffin is often used as coating agent due to its low toxicity and small rancidity corrosive effect. In addition, solid paraffin, vegetable oil, alginic acid amines, polystyrene, polyvinyl alcohol, styrene butadiene, acrylic resin, polyvinyl chloride resin, gliadin and poly maltotriose can also be used as coating agents. No matter what kind of coating agent is used, it should be harmless to human body and with no side effects.
There are two kinds of coating methods: dipping and spraying. Spraying method is more commonly used. Eligible eggs after examination can be dipped or sprayed. After getting dry naturally, eggs can be packed for storage. If combined with cryopreservation methods, the preservation effect is better.
2. Pasteurization Preservation Method
Pasteurization process: first, put the eggs into the special wire basket, 100 to 200 per basket will be the most appropriate. Then sink the egg baskets into hot water of about 95-100℃. Take them out immediately after soaking 5 to 7 seconds. When the shell becomes dry and the egg temperature is lowed, the eggs can be stored.
3. Cave Cold Storage Method
Whether there is cave freezer, this method can be applied to store eggs. Outside the cave freezer is equipped with a cooling fan which can deliver cold air inside the cave. Load qualified eggs into wooden crates or cardboard boxes, stacking into a stack. Let cold air pass through each stack. Keep the temperature at 4 ~ 5 ℃, humidity of 75% to 80%. The eggs can be fresh for 4 to 6 months.
3. Peracetic Acid Preservation Method
Dilute peracetic acid into aqueous solutio with a concentration of 1-2g/l. Soak eligible eggs into the solution for three to five minutes. Take them out and dry them for storage. If store them into freezer, the preservation time could be longer.
